In 1985 composer John Harrison gave us horror fans the magnificent electronic score to George A. Romero's third and up to now last living dead film, DAY OF THE DEAD. We've always read about the famous "library" music Romero used for NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD or the great score Goblin did for DAWN OF THE DEAD but rarely did we read anything about DOTD. Released only on LP in 1986, Numenorean Music have finally released this amazing score on CD! There is four music only tracks, two songs, and five music and effects tracks, for a total of 73 minutes. The first track is the amazing 19:39 minutes "Dead Suite". There's also the rather unusual "If Tomorrow Comes" and "The World Inside Your Eyes" which features 80s like soft rock vocals! The last 5 tracks takes us deeply within the film with all of the moans and groans of the zombies.
Numenorean Music have done a great job with remastering this soundtrack. The CD comes with a great 12 pages booklet which features a piece by Harrison and Romero along with tons of cool pix of the film! Its a must own for all of the fans of this great film. I've been listening to it none stop for over a week now!
