Review from Exploitation Digital/ Media Blasters

After being released from reform school Rika (the gorgeous Reiko Ooshiba) quits her job at the washers due to the assholes who run it. She ends up working at a night club, where she meets fellow former reform school girls. They form a strong bond, but a yakuza boss, Ohba, wants to buy and his muscle his way in and own the club. Now, the girls must unite to defend and protect themselves and each other.

DELINQUENT GIRL BOSS: BLOSSOMING NIGHT DREAMS is the first in series that went on to spawn three more sequels. This movie is really a lot of fun and highly enjoyable. The movie can be very funny and cute at times; it is also very serious at others. DELINQUENT GIRL really draws you in and holds your interest. While, there are more explicit films pinky violence films out there; it still manages to end on a highly violent and exciting climax.

Of course, also important to a pinky violence film is the female cast. And, they are quite beautiful here. In fact, this a must for those of us with Asian fever and should be used by airlines as a commercial to get you to visit Japan! Reiko Ooshiba is a beautiful, living doll and also manages to kick some ass. Sadly, though she is not one of the girls that get nude, but, nonetheless, she still looks amazing in bra and panties. Her acting is quite good as is the rest of the cast, with the lovely female owner of the club and the villain really doing some memorable work here.

Exploitation Digital exposes DELINQUENT GIRL BOSS: BLOSSOMING NIGHT DREAMS on DVD in an anamorphic widescreen (2.35:1). The picture looks good and has some nice bright colors, but also suffers from some artifacting and lines on screen, at a few times. The mono is loud and clear with no problems whatsoever.

The only extra is a photo gallery of black and white stills from the film. It does, though, come with lots of trailers, including the one for the movie, itself, as well as: RICA 3: JUVENILE’S LULLABY, YELLOW EMANUELLE, RED NIGHTS OF THE GESTAPO, and PORNO HOLOCAUST. The movie is broken up into twelve chapters accessible from the static menu. It comes in a keep-case that has a gorgeous painted cover. In the inside is Media Blasters Winter 2007 catalogue but no inlet card.
